Lithological Description: Limestone-rich gravels beneath the poorly-formed second terrace of the River Windrush in the Vale of Bourton (near Bourton-on-the-Water). It consists of more or less reworked head gravels and has yielded woolly mammoth and woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) (Richardson and Sandford, 1960; O'Neil and Shotton, 1974).
