Quartzite, flaggy, thin- to thick-bedded, with thin partings of micaceous psammite. Minor semipelite in upper part, in part with calc-silicate lenses. |

Fairly sharp change from very thickly-bedded quartzite of Findochty Quartzite Member. |

Rapid transition to semipelite with thin psammitic ribs of Dicky Hare Member. |

c.1200m on coast section; cannot be distinguished separately inland. |

Along coast section from Toshie's Long Craigs [NJ 4970 6835] to the east side of Logie Head [NJ 5310 6810]; cannot be differentiated inland. |
