Lithological Description: Diamicton, sand, gravel, silt and clay.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Overlies Chalk bedrock at Holderness. Till of the Holkham Till Member overlies raised beach deposits of the Morston Formation in north Norfolk.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain unconformably by Holocene marine and organic deposits.
Thickness: About 70 m thick in type area of Holderness.
Geographical Limits: Holderness, east Yorkshire extending southwards to north Norfolk.
Parent Unit: North Sea Coast Glacigenic Subgroup (NSG)
