Lithological Description: A prominent coal seam.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Overlies the Inverbrora Member (INVBR).
Definition of Upper Boundary: Overlain by the sandstone of the Brora Roof Bed (BRORO). The boundary is sharp and planar and although apparently conformable is probably erosional.
Thickness: 1 m thick at Brora. South of Brora at Balintore it is significantly thinner at only 20 cm thick.
Geographical Limits: Balintore and Brora areas, Sutherland, Scotland.
Parent Unit: Brora Coal Formation (BOCO)
