95 META_VIEW  METADATA  VIEW  A view is a custom-tailored presentation of the data in one or more tables. A view can also be thought of as a `stored query`. Views do not actually contain or store data; they derive their data from the tables on which they are based. Like tables, views can be queried, updated, inserted into, and deleted from, with some restrictions. All operations performed on a view affect it`s base tables.  09-FEB-06  10-FEB-06

103 META_SYN  METADATA  SYNONYM  An alternative name for a particular database object, this name can be used to access the object in exactly the same way as the object`s true name.  09-FEB-06  10-FEB-06 
104 META_MATVW  METADATA  MATERIALISED VIEW  A materialized view provides access to table data by storing the results of a query in a separate schema object (table) this is not refreshed every time the view is called.  09-FEB-06  10-FEB-06 
105 META_ALERT  METADATA  ALERTS  A system of regularly scheduled SQL queries that provide the Database operators with data quality information.  09-FEB-06  10-FEB-06
